Huge demonstration against Hungarian homophobic law – Photos

Almost 80,000 have signed the petition, and more than 18,000 have signalled acceptance instead of the Propaganda Act! Budapest Pride writes in a press release, the spokesperson of which stated, “apart from the Budapest Pride Parade, the LGBTQ legal demonstration has never received such social support”.

Budapest Pride’s petition can be read here.

A number of NGOs have organised a demonstration in front of the Parliament to protest proposals for amendments to the law submitted by Fidesz politicians organisations and the sexual education they provide.

In addition to human rights defenders, the LGBTQ Section of the Hungarian Psychological Society, the Hungarian Advertising Association and the National Association of Hungarian Journalists protested against the bill.

The Reklámügynökség (Advertising Association) condemns the regulation of gender reassignment and the display of homosexuality and is concerned that the proposed bill would confuse paedophilia with sexual- and gender identity. MÚOSZ reacts similarly, writing,

“the right to basic information is violated if at certain times of the day the media is forced by law to silence real phenomena, processes, mental and biological differences. The Hungarian legislature now wants to achieve this. In addition, it confuses two unrelated things, paedophilia, which can be linked to more than one crime, and homosexuality and gender reassignment, which can in no way be considered a crime. ”

The demonstration kicked off at 6 pm in front of the Parliament on Monday night, in which organisers called on members of Parliament not to vote for an “amendment to the law that would enshrine children’s rights and freedom of expression.”

Many people came to the demonstration with signs, including inscriptions, like:

“Your son might be here as well”
“Reality cannot be banned”
“Love belongs to everyone”
“Can I still look at my son?”

At the end of the speeches, the organizers asked the demonstrators to go home in peace, but reach out to LGBTQ acquaintances and show their solidarity to them.

“This support is not enough to just communicate to them. It must be expressed publicly. If the topic is raised at any time, no one should be afraid to say why this evil bill is unacceptable,”

they said, and then the crowd began to chant “we will not allow it”.

The organisers stated that all means will be used in Hungary to fight this law if it will be enforced. The Parliament will vote on the bill on Tuesday.

  1. You just can’t help yourselves, can you! What level of conceptual propaganda you must be thought of to intentionally confuse anti-paedophilia law with homophobia?

  2. This “evil” bill is Unacceptable.
A perilous and the continuation of the DANGEROUS paths – this present Government in it’s AGENDA pursues.
May 2022 – is National Elections – and this adds additional “fuel to the fire” – why, from which “station in life” we come, this 2022 National Elections – must be used as a POWERFUL instrument, to eradicate a Government, that is prepared to table and vote on such a “evil” bill.
We live in the 21st century – driven by ideas and philosophies that in major part are built on and around modern times in History.
Segregation of modern 21st century Hungarian citizens – labelling them – a “blast from the past” pre 1987 and a return of LAWS from those darkened years 1944 – 1987 would have cataclysmic effect for Hungary.
To live in Peace and Harmony – the acceptance and the practice DAILY in our lives of the word – TOLERENCE – we the people of Hungary – embrace this philosophy of modern 21st century Hungarian lifestyle and culture, and we must orderly ensure this “evil” bill is “shamed” and never written into Law in Hungary.

  3. Moral degeneracy is not welcome or acceptable here in Hungary. If you want to have an alternative life style you would be more welcome in another place such as San Francisco, London, or Tel Aviv. We want our children to grow up and live normal lives. I am thankful that the Hungarian Parliament is considering protections for our children against moral degeneracy.

  4. Niet Mario,
There are hanging jung boys and girls on a tree in Hungary. It was suïcide.
    They were homosxuals…. A possibiltiy?

  5. For a while, the ‘jury was out’ about “Norbert” and his intentions.

However, it is now obvious that this refugee (? from Australia) wants to import into Hungary many evils – such as ‘sexual degeneracy’ and exposure to that by under-age children.

There is absolutely NO PLACE WHATSOEVER IN HUNGARY for so-called ‘tolerance’ towards what are – without any doubt – totally abhorrent and unnatural sexual practices.

If ‘poofie-woofies’ want to bite pillows whilst ‘having it off’ with each other, then they should do it in the privacy of a toilet – NO ADVERTISING TO MINORS ! Similarly, if ‘licky-lickies’ want to perform whatever it is that they do, then that also should be carried out without eliciting any screams of delight from under-aged individuals who might be watching it on television.

The correct fate for these sick people – who want / enjoy ‘same-sex’ encounters – is deportation to a country which glorifies the practices (such as ‘MARIOSTAN’, the ancestral home of “Mario”).

However, E.U. law might prohibit such ‘punishment’ so until those individuals ‘die out’ (which cannot happen soon enough), the Hungarian Government has – thankfully – just passed further laws to protect children.

In the mean time, “Norbert” should relocate to Paddington, Sydney where he can applaud the LGBTQWXYZ community each day of every year – and play with himself whilst doing so.

  6. It seems that the last century did not teach tough lessons enough . Now it will be up to further braveness and as much coming outs as possible . If they actually arrest people … every family has gay persons after all … how will they manage all this ? And the closeted fucks who help voted this need to be exposed for the traitors they are . I hope next elections will see change . I cannot off course go parading around Budapest in a rainbow négligé at my respectful age but one hopes at least the young ones will .

  7. Not every family has homosexual members but this is of no importance.
I don’t understand why this has to be such an issue.
Who cares who you prefer to sleep with as long as you are honest about it and you are a decent person.
Don’t let yourselves being used for political gain by the predatory left.
The so called law has been put in place because there has been worrying demands inspired by
    these manipulative politicians.
Can’t you see what’s going on?
You poor b……rds, you’ve been had!!!!!!

  8. How many gays in Hungary? 5 – 10% of the population. One of them could well be your son or daughter, Norbert. What a sad person you are. Why stop at persecuting gays? Hitler didn’t

  9. Homophobia itself is a dismissive term(?), even “hate speech”. A phobia is an irrational, incapacitating fear. A person can have opinions about homosexuality, transgenderism etc. and not have a “fear” per se … Homosexuals for years fought to have their predilections no longer declared a “mental disease” only to use the same calumny against those who have opposite opinions about homosexuality etc.
